Pastoral Care and Concerns
The Pastoral Care & Concerns Committee provides leadership for the good functioning of a caring and loving Meeting community. It meets monthly. Its responsibilities are many: to contact active and inactive members, identify concerns and priorities of the Meeting, review preliminary requests for membership, assist in the creation of clearness committees, resolve conflicts with the Meeting, and nurture attenders both near and far, especially at critical moments in their lives. In short, it functions as the unofficial “pastor” of the congregation.
The Finance Sub-Committee, which helps steward the Meeting’s financial resources and provides guidance and perspective in reviewing the budget and directing monies, serves under Pastoral Care and Concerns.
