On Sunday, October 18, the Pastoral Care and Concerns Committee of Westtown Monthly Meeting hosted the first (annual?) OktoberFest at the Westtown Lake House. It was planned as a community strengthening event designed to encourage folks to chat with old friends and meet some new ones, consume a lunch (provided) of soup (including vegan chili), bread, salad and desserts, while enjoying the beauty of the lake! Approximately 30 Friends wandered down after Meeting for Worship to enjoy the crackling fire in the fireplace and the warm camaraderie of both old and new friends.
